BHIM–A software success in India

India is getting digital now. It is stepping into the world of technological success after the launch of BHIM app. According to PP Chaudhary, Indian minister of state for law and IT, the digital payment is going to dominate the software brand product in India.

He says, “The trending BHIM app is gaining momentum across various platforms due to the rising downloads by the users and also due to continuous update in the version of BHIM app. The software will top the 2017 chart. The government is focusing on making India utilize digital technology in every step.”
After demonetization, the transaction apps such as AEPS, RuPay Card, UPI, USSD, and others have reached multi-digit figures in terms of growth. The Computer Emergency Response team works 24×7 to ensure online transaction safety and security.

The government along with the private sectors is making an effort to educate the masses about the benefits of these products and services along with the digital infrastructure and platform development. The Department of Science and Technology plans to increase 5000 incubator programs across the country by the next 3 years. The new National Initiative for Development and Harnessing Innovations program plans to fund about Rs 1 Crore for the new products.

The government’s efforts are thus going to be very promising for the BHIM app to become a tremendous success in the Indian software industry. It may also turn out to be the next branded software in the Indian market.
