The two-decade-old Indian smartphone manufacturer Intex Technologies have introduced a new device to add to its list. The company introduced new Intex Aqua 5.1+ smartphone. Can you guess, what is the one common element that all Intex smartphones have? Well, to give you a hint, the new Intex Aqua 5.1+ too have the same factor. Okay!!! Let us tell you. Intex is popular for its low range smartphones and hence the new Intex Aqua 5.1+ is also a low budget handset. Let us have a look at the specs of the smartphone.
The new Intex Aqua 5.1+ provides a 5-inch screen with FWVGA display. The screen also has a pixel ratio of 480 x 854. The handset is fueled by a 1.3GHz quad-core SoC processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The phone also has 8 GB internal memory that can be expanded to 64 GB via MicroSD card.
In the field of the camera, the rear camera is of 5 MP along with LED flash and autofocus. The new Intex Aqua 5.1+ has 2 MP of a front camera as well. The phone also supports a 2,000mAh battery that is capable of giving 12 hours of talk time and 40 hours of standby time. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. In terms of connectivity, the phone will offer dual-SIM connectivity, Bluetooth, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, 3G, FM, and GPS.
As the new Intex Aqua 5.1+ is a low range smartphone, the handset has a price tag of Rs 5,490. Currently, the phone is said to be available in only 2 color variants—black and gold.
Well, we do not see any reason as to why the users should buy this handset. Also, we do not understand as to why the company introduces such ordinary smartphone. It is not the question about the budget of the handset, but about the features that it provides. According to us, the phone will hardly survive in the market.
