JEE is an all India examination which is conducted all over the country. It is an examination for admission to students to various engineering colleges. The government in twenty twelve had included this course and this replaced the AIEEE and IIT _ JEE. This exam consists of two parts that are Mains and Advanced. For students who want to be selected they have to appear and pass. Only students who have passed JEE Main are allowed to move ahead to the JEE Advanced. Normally over one lack fifty students are selected every year. However there are institutes which use the same score for admission. JEE Main: This exam has two papers and one can take part in one or in both. The test paper has multiple choices questions. The first paper is for admission to B. Tech and the paper two is for students appearing for B Arch and B. Planning. This course is conducted off line. The JEE main has a three hour exam which consists of thirty multiple choice questions in all the three categories that is physics, chemistry and maths. It must be noted that there is negative marking for answers that are not correct. The number of candidates has increased over the years and the present details are that there are at least one lakh students appearing for this exam.

JEE Advanced: This paper has three hundred and sixty marks. In terms of difficulty it all depends on the preparation that the student does. There is no negative marking in the first paper. It was noticed that the physics paper was lengthier and the chemistry paper tougher. The second paper is very easy as compared to the first.

History of JEE: The pattern of JEE has undergone lots of changes. In the year twenty ten the candidates were given the answer copies and cut offs were announced.
