It has built-in speakers and microphones that help Alexa function. Earlier, only the commands assessed the device functionality but after a lot of technological advancements the touchscreen and companion apps helped control the device rather than depending on the voice commands. The smart thermostat has a wireless temperature sensor. In addition to this, it is also compatible with other 32 sensors.

Ecobee4 has Alexa installed that helps the new technology take in commands prior to performing the task directed. The smart thermostat also provides some new features such as setting a timer, controlling other devices, and also playing the news. The Ecobee 4 can also be connected to the smartphone apps or Web giving an easy control over the smart Ecobee. The only tedious task here is the registration process required for enjoying the connectivity further on.

Looking at the smart device’s features, there is no doubt that the product is going to stir the market in the coming years. The company has already started its preorder sale online from the May 3, 2017. The new thermostat will be made commercially available to the public from May 15, 2017 at $249.
