Social networking giant Facebook has allowed users to put up small videos as their profile pictures as part of a set of new mobile-friendly updates. Facebook, which has about 1.49 billion users internationally, has started testing these features to a small number of iPhone users in the UK and California and will roll them out to more people soon, it said in a blog.

On News Feed and profiles, we’re seeing people make and view more videos than ever before. Facebook Product Managers Aigerim Shorman and Tony Hsieh wrote, today we’re starting to test the next step in an obvious evolution of profiles: profile videos.
Users will be able to film a short, looping video clip that will play for anyone who visits their profile. The social networking said people visit Facebook profiles more than four billion times per day. Facebook has made design changes to mobile profile, aimed at improving the profile layout and better present information about the user in a more visually engaging way.
The social networking site demanded that along with this feature, it has also redesigned the mobile profile, putting the profile pictures in the center rather than aligned to the left.
The users also have the option to display their personal information, including education and work history at the top of their profile, along with pinning some of their favourite photos near the top of their page.
