Renault has been in the Indian auto market since many years, but it wasn’t a preferred brand and had an average sale. The carmaker has appreciably gained a demand for the brand after the launch of small car Kwid. The company first launched 800cc Kwid which didn’t attract customers as the expectation was to have more than 1000 cc engine under the bonet. The French car maker identified the need and soon fulfilled the demand. The company tapped the small car segment market with a reasonable price with wide variety of variants.

And to keep the graph rolling, Renault had recently launched its new Kwid Climber Edition. Company had showed some eye pleasing customization of the Kwid at an auto expo held last year.

The vehicle will be available in both automatic and manual transmission.  It is powered by 1.0 liter 3-cylinder petrol engine that generates 67 horse power and 91 Nm of Torque. The engine is integrated with 5-speed manual transmission and automatic gearbox. The fuel efficiency claimed by ARAI varies for both the models; for MT model it is claimed 23.01 kmpl and 24.04 kmpl for automatic version.

Focusing on the outer design and structure of the all new Kwid Climber Edition, the design isn’t totally reworked, but the small additions such as fog lamp housing, skid plates place on the bumpers, roof rails, exclusive climber badge, and body cladding. The new 6-spoke alloys wheels enhance the looks of the new edition and make it stand out from the competitor that range between the prices. The interior remains unchanged and it’s similar to previous Kwid. The only difference is the orange inserts placed on gear lever, door pads, console, and seats.

The safety features of the car include driver side airbag and seat belt pretensioners. The all climber Kwid comes in three vibrant colors which includes electric blue, planet grey, and outback bronze.

With all this up-gradation and enhancements the Renault Qwid Climber price ranges between Rs4.30 for MT variant and 4.60 Lakhs for AMT variant.
